Call For Proposals

We welcome proposals for sessions covering a variety of topics including but not limited to the following: renewable energy sources and technologies, energy storage and efficiency, infrastructure and distribution, policy and financing, education and workforce development.

Submission Requirements

All proposals must provide the following information:

 

  • Submitter information, including name of your organization, title and email

  • Contact information, including name of organization, title, and email for all proposed speakers for your session*

  • Session title (15 words or less)

  • Short session description (100 words or less) that will appear on the conference agenda, if selected

  • In-depth session summary (500 words or less) that includes: clear and concise objectives; key points articulated; novel or innovative approaches; actionable insights, best practices, or recommendations that attendees can apply in their work or organization; list of intended stakeholder audiences (business and community leaders, local and state elected officials, NGOs, academia, etc.) and potential interactive elements for audience engagement

  • 3-4 learning objectives/ audience takeaways.

As the submitter of the proposal, you agree to the following on behalf of all your proposed speakers. It is your responsibility to communicate these expectations to your speakers.

 

  • ROOM SET: Rooms will be set theater style or classroom style with a microphoned podium and a head table with microphones for four speakers. A laptop, LCD projector and screen will be provided. There will not be an audio option available for presentation of videos. Presenters will use their own flash drive for digital presentations if a slide deck is not received by the deadline.

  • WIFI: Wi-fi will be provided.

  • COMPENSATION: Breakout session speakers will not receive monetary compensation or reimbursement of travel expenses.

  • PROPRIETARY RIGHTS: It is the speakers’ responsibility to ensure their proposed presentation does not violate any proprietary or personal rights of others (including copyright, trademark, and privacy rights), is factually accurate, and contains nothing defamatory or otherwise unlawful.

  • SPEAKER INFORMATION: If selected, the speaker’s name, biographical information, and photograph may be used in promotional materials.

Proposals must be submitted via email by July 18th, 2025 to thomas@climateandenergy.org.  

 

All submitters will be notified of review outcomes by July 31st, 2025.

 

Finalized presentations with permission to post are due by September 24th, 2025 to ensure material can be reviewed and approved. 

 

By submitting a proposal for consideration, you agree that, if selected, you will be available to present your session at any time on October 8th or October 9th, 2025.  Breakout sessions are 50 minutes in length. Quick Bites sessions are 20 minutes in length.  Selection and scheduling for sessions will be at the discretion of Future Forward organizers.

 

*Please note: no more than five speakers per breakout session, including moderator.
